UNCLE’S TRADING POST

The Uncle’s Trading Post program is your opportunity to place your old games and gaming books for sale at Uncle’s Games and earn store credit! Each item (or set of items) will have an accompanying condition report, completed by the seller, full of helpful information about the games’ condition and completeness. If you want to sell your gently used games at Uncle’s Games then check out the details below!

We are currently accepting used board games and game books (such as RPGs) to sell. Miniatures, novels, toys, dice, and collectibles are currently not being accepted.

Sellers are limited to five items for sale in our Trading Post section. Exceptions can be made for RPG sets and other situations. Just ask.  Within reason, the seller may sell a “set” of items as a single item (such as a game plus expansions, or a set of RPG books). These items will be shrink-wrapped together, presented and sold as a single item.

Sellers must complete a Used Game Submission Form (a fillable form that you can complete and print ahead of time) for each item sold. You can download the form appropriate for each store at the bottom of this page and bring it in, or we can provide a copy in the store. Sellers are expected to be honest about the condition of their item. Uncle’s Games staff will review the Used Game Submission Form and suggest changes if we deem them appropriate. These forms will be available to view by potential buyers.

Sellers will determine a single asking price for the item (or set of items). Please mark your sale price in whole dollars if possible (but this is not required). This price will be non-negotiable and Uncle’s Games will only sell that item at that price. Item sets will not be broken up.

Upon submission, the item (or set of items) will be prepared for display within three (3) days. Preparation includes attachment of a Used Game Sale Sticker (Post-It note adhesive only) to the item and shrink wrapping the item before shelving. This note includes the asking price of the game and a summary of the Used Game Submission Form condition report.

Once shelved, an item will be displayed for purchase for a minimum of 60 days. After that time, Uncle’s Games may return the item to the seller. An unsold item returned to a seller may not be submitted for sale again until 60 days after the item was last displayed.

Items that have not sold within 60 days will be removed from the shelf, and the seller will be notified. Sellers have 60 days to retrieve the unsold item. Items left longer than 120 days will be considered abandoned and donated to charity.

Used Game buyers will be given three (3) days to return the item if they do not agree that the item’s condition was accurately described on the Used Game Submission Form condition report. This is the only condition under which we will accept a used game return.

Seven (7) days after the sale, Sellers will receive a store credit for 80% of their asking price of the item, as submitted by the seller. Uncle’s Games will process any Washington State sales tax associated with the purchase.

Uncle’s Games has the right to refuse any item for any reason. Example reasons include but are not limited to demand, condition, appropriateness, existing copies already for sale, etc.

A used game is sold on consignment and remains the property of the original owner until such a time as it sells or is removed from circulation.

Uncle’s Games does not purchase used games for resale.

Uncle’s Games will assume responsibility for the care of item while in our possession.
