The game pieces are blank on one side and have a special symbol on the other. Blank pieces can only move up, down, left, or right until they have been flipped over to reveal the special symbol side after they have been moved once during the course of the game. Pieces with revealed symbols can now move in any direction available. The first player places 1 piece with the blank side face up on any space on the game board. Player 2 then does the same.
