This is a great game that will last for years. There are more expensive ones on the market, but this one works great and a fancy high-quality wood won't make the game any better . My aunt had this game at her house years ago when my kids were young and we'd play it at Thanksgiving, while dinner was cooking, so it has happy memories for me. Now I have grandchildren and I'm introducing it to them. It's great for the 8-year old - teaches her math skills, and also when she gets a little older, how to strategize on which numbers to flip over. The younger ones get a kick out of flipping the numbers for me. I also like the game because you can involve everyone, yet everyone doesn't have to sit around a game board. You can play, then note the total of the numbers left open and then call the next person to come over and try to beat you. I recall we used to play for dimes, so the kids used to like that too. |
