I purchased this game as a joint birthday present for my husband and 11 year old daughter. We have only played the first two battles, but we are really enjoying the game. It is simple enough for my 8 year old son to join in, and the luck of drawing cards and rolling dice has ensured that my husband and I, playing as a team, have been soundly trounced by the kids two battles in a row! Days of Wonder always does a great job with their games, the artwork is great and the helping cards make it easier to play without continually re-reading the manual.
We are already making future game night dates, and spend time setting the board up for the next battle so we can start right away on the nights we are free.
I will probably continue to invest in any expansions for this game, and foresee us playing this for a long time. Good way to get everyone away from the TV and the computer. |
