Maybe it seems a little odd that I would pick this as one of my top ten games, let alone my number one game, considering how popular poker is right now. What's next? Wist? I have been playing this game since I was ten, and while it's a little more challenging of a game to learn, it blows all other card games out of the water, and is well worth the time to learn. There is risk in bidding, there is risk in having to trust your partner(s), and there is risk in taking all the tricks you need to make your bid. It is so satisfying though when you clean up! You learn to count cards, add quickly, and which cards to play to grab the most points. This is my absolute favorite game and any of our pinochle decks are quite "suit"able for play. |
