This is the game where players slay the monsters, swipe the treasure, and back stab their fellow competitors! A stand alone card game, this game will invoke laughter, provoke thought, and induce violence toward the opponent who took away your edge. Munchkin is best described as a "dungeon experience with none of that stupid-role playing stuff". Players start on an equal playing field, as a human with no class. As the game progresses, players will procure races (elf, dwarf, etc), classes (cleric, wizard, thief, etc.), items, potions, armor, and more. Players will find themselves using several cards simultaneously to fight monsters, and other opponents. With card names such as "Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment" and "Boots of Butt-Kicking" (just to name a couple), players will be amused at this fast-paced, silly card game that will have everyone demanding an encore!

Requires one six-sided die to play.

Munchkin is a great game that pokes fun at all the pen and paper games out there. Weapons like the "Boots of Butt-kicking", "Spiked Codpiece", "Wand of Napalm" and many many more make this game so much fun, and then there are the monsters.

Fight deadly creatures like the potted plant and suffer "Bad Stuff" if you fail in your fight. "Bad Stuff" can range from serious things like losing a level or a weapon to suffering from the taunts of the people you play with.

I introduced this game to my family and we played it every night that we could and everyone enjoyed it, even my dad who does not have a background in D&D. I suggest this game to anyone who wants a simple game to play around the table and have fun with each other.

**Warning - Do not take this game seriously, or it will lose all of its fun **

It's viscious. It's heartless. What's not to love? Anyone who has ever played a role-playing game will relate to the power-gaming humor packed inside this witty game

What can I say, this is my kind of game. It is funny, well illustrated and a lot of fun to play. I have played it with and without the expansion, with 2 players and up to six players. The style of play can vary based on how kind hearted or vicious the players are. I like to play as a thief, myself, and I take a certain amount of evil delight in throwing another player's battle. Stealing is fun too, don't get me wrong, but it's the backstab that does it for me.
