Farkel is the original “quit-while-you’re-ahead” dice game that goes by various names and elusive origins. This
Farkel Party edition comes in a bright red tin with six colorful dice cups and matching dice.
Roll the dice for ones, fives, or specific combinations, and keep track of your running score. Quit while you’ve got points—or take a risk and keep rolling for more. Any roll without points, and your turn is over...and you lose any points you earned on that turn.
Depending on your source, Farkel was first played in Iceland in 1492 by Sir Albert Farkle; or on French sailing ships over 600 years ago; or as an English folk game that spread by work of mouth. Regardless of where Farkel came from, you’ll want it in your game collection!
