In the game of
Taboo, it's not what you say but how you say it - or rather how you don't say it! In this party word game, players must get their partners to guess a word or phrase without using five common words (closely related to the word) also on the card. For example: Your card says "BIRTHDAY" and you are not allowed to say the words "HAPPY", "CANDLES", "PRESENTS", "CAKE", and "ANNIVERSARY". You may say something in the line of "family and friends sing to you once a year in a celebrated event." Players may even hum the birthday song, they may not, however, use any type of gesture. Players who correctly guess the word before the sand timer is up receives the point. Opposing players receive points for any cards that are passed on, for any time an off limit word is used, or for any gestures made. So make it a party with
