Your heart pounds in your chest and you are finding it very hard to breathe. The zombies are everywhere and seem quite intent on making you lunch. With so many of them, it's hard to tell if the scraping footsteps and moaning are down the hall or just around the corner. One thing is for sure, they are too close for comfort, you are almost out of bullets, and your luck seems to have just about run its course!

Zombies puts you in the middle of the action as you try to escape the ever advancing zombie horde. Players must use a combination of wits and brawn to be the first to the heliport and certain escape. The only problem is, the zombies are everywhere, they appear to be very hungry and your opponents would really prefer if you didn't escape.

Zombies features an ever changing map and an ever-growing army of the undead. Players take turns playing map tiles, placing zombies, running furiously, fighting, and generally creating havoc for the opposition. Combined, this makes Zombies a different game every time you play it.

A great into to tabletop gaming for the FPS set. If you have friends who do a lot of computer or console videogaming, Zombies!!! might be the perfect transition to get them interested in the world of tabletop gaming.

The concept behind the game is as simple as it is rich; you and your buddies are in the middle of a town overrun by the walking dead, and are racing to be the first to find your way out of town. Along the way, it is hack n' slash delight! Players acquire various weapons and techniques for either fighting or avoiding the zombies, and all players also get the benefit of moving the zombies around on occasion, adding to the fun. This game draws very thoroughly on the 80s zombie movie tradition, and people who are familiar with that will enjoy it that much more.

Visually, the game is quite impressive. While the card art may be a bit too graphic for some, everyone seems to love the little plastic zombie miniatures that chase your "shotgun guys" around the board, and the tiles you lay out for parts of the town are rich in detail.

Why not five stars, then? The game can tend to bog down a little bit when played with the rules in the box. Fortunately, there are a number of places on the internet where quick-play rules can be found that speed up the action and reduce the odds that you will simply be dying over and over again. THE beer and pretzels game for your collection.

This is a thrill a minute game. With expansions galore to make it really interesting. My first time playing zombies was on a camping trip which shows you how easily it travels. Fun game espically in the right setting like the woods.

Zombies is a great game to get together with friends and play at night. I mean what better is there to do than kill zombies or lead zombies to kill your friends?

The overall theme is very well done with a B-Movie theme (I like to think Army of Darkness or Evil Dead) and the cards are a perfect example of this. Cards like "Lot's of Ammo", "Fire Axe", or "Skateboard" allow you to either escape or kill zombies, while 'Your Shoe's Untied", "We're Screwed", and "Fear" keep your opponents from getting to the helicopter before you do.

My friends and I have played this game many, many times and will continue to play it through the night.
