GAMES WORKSHOP PRODUCTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE!
The publisher of the ever popular miniatures war games Warhammer 40k and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar have reentered the board game development and publishing market, so Uncle’s Games has partnered with Games Workshop to bring you new editions of Games Workshop classics like Blood Bowl and Talisman, and new games like Shadow War: Armageddon and Shadespire. To celebrate we are offering double points on the purchase of all Games Workshop products for the month of April!!!!
250 Points: ANOMIA
3-6 Players, Ages 10+, 30 Minutes
Anomia is a huge hit among our staff, and is especially popular with more casual players looking for a tricky trivia game that requires you to have a quick tongue. You and an opponent flip cards featuring words and colored shapes over simultaneously until you spot a matching symbol between your cards and your opponents cards. At this point you must name an example of the person, place, or thing on your opponent’s matching card before your opponent does the same. The first one to blurt out a correct example wins the round.
250 Points: MATH FLUXX
2-6 Players, Ages 8+, 5-30 Minutes
Math Fluxx is one of our favorite ways to practice number manipulation and basic arithmetic with younger players. Just like in regular Fluxx, Math Fluxx starts with only one rule: on your turn you must draw one card, then play one card. Eventually goal cards will be played which will allow you to win the game if you play out certain creeper cards. Math Fluxx gets its unique mechanics from the Plan B Meta Rules which allow you to use math operators on your creepers to achieve the current goal card.
500 Points: SPEAK OUT
4-5 Players, Ages 16+
Speak Out was the breakout holiday hit that challenges players to verbally express a variety of phrases while wearing a cheek retractor. Your appreciation for hard consonants will grow exponentially after attempting to utter “He’s my stealthy pet ferret named Garrett,” while your lips and jaw are restrained by a device we never thought we would see outside of a dentist office.
500 Points: KILLER BUNNIES AND THE QUEST FOR THE MAGIC CARROT STARTER
2-8 Players, Ages 13+, 90 Minutes
Killer Bunnies is a satirical card game in which your small army of cute, fluffy rabbits must acquire as many carrots as possible in the hope that one of them might be the all powerful “Magic Carrot”. However, your opponents will likely be disinclined to let you amass such a hoard and will use and arsenal of weapons from kitchen whisks to nuclear warheads to reduce the size of your herd of lagomorphs. If you enjoy card games that involve deal making and betraying other players, such as Munchkin, then you might want to consider cashing in points for Killer Bunnies.
1000 Points: MEDURIS, THE CALL OF THE GODS
2-4 Players, Ages 10+, 75 Minutes
Meduris: The Call of the Gods is a new worker placement game from the game smiths over at HABA. Players are settling villages at the base of the plentiful mountain Meduris. Points are scored for building huts, temples, and paying tribute to the wandering druid. If you’ve enjoyed Carcassonne, then Meduris is a great middle step towards other great euro games like Agricola and Istanbul.
1000 Points: GAME OF THRONES 4D CITYSCAPE JIGSAW
Winter is upon us with the ever popular television show entering its final seasons and eventual release of The Winds of Winter. With this beautiful jigsaw puzzle and accompanying plastic tokens you will be able to track the movements of the great armies of Westeros as Jon Snow, Danerys Targaryen, and Cersei Lannister race towards their final confrontation.
